Anyone can be tricked or fooled — the human brain is very hackable.
Understanding that is power, because then we are more open-minded to accepting compensatory tools to help prevent tomfoolery and shenanigans.
When we are convinced that we can’t be fooled, and that if we are fooled, then it was performed by some super-genius, we are isolating ourselves from the cure — to improve our ability to identify bullshit. Don’t be fooled by this common thought — it does not take a super-genius or a super-villain to trick a person. Simply someone who understands how brains can be tricked.
Brains are very hackable. And a lot of these hacks can be blocked. But we have to accept that our brains are hackable, before we can begin blocking those hacks.
